SHILPI SUNEJA was born in India. She holds an MA in English from New York University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University, where she was awarded the Saul Bellow Prize.

A recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, her work appears in Michigan Quarterly Review, Bat City Review, Little Fiction, StirringKartika Review and elsewhere. She is currently at work on a novel about the long shadow of the Indian Partition.
